Ride-Hailing: Grab is the most practical choice for navigating between Makati, Bonifacio Global City, and Old Manila. It avoids route disputes and fare negotiations, though vehicle wait times increase sharply during rain.
Elevated Rail: LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3 bypass road gridlock. LRT-1 reaches historic Intramuros, while MRT-3 connects major business centers. Trains win on speed during daylight hours, provided you travel without luggage.
Buses and Jeepneys: The EDSA Carousel bus operates in dedicated highway lanes, running continuously. Jeepneys handle short local hops, requiring cash and precise route knowledge.
Ticketing and Beep Cards
The reloadable Beep card works on all rail lines and select buses, saving time at ticket counters. It is unnecessary for travelers making only a few trips, and it does not work on jeepneys or metered taxis.
