This prehistoric site contains cave paintings from the Upper Paleolithic period. Because the original cave entrance is now 37 meters underwater due to rising sea levels, the site is inaccessible to the general public. Visitors instead go to a full-scale replica that reproduces the cave's layout and artwork, allowing for the study of the original paintings without risking damage to the site.
