Abu Bakr Mosque

Located southwest of Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, this is one of the oldest mosques in Medina. Visitors come here to explore early Islamic history and the architectural traces of the city's religious heritage.

The mosque is situated within the central area of Medina. From the city center, it is accessible via a short taxi ride or a walk, typically taking less than 10 to 15 minutes depending on your starting point.

Allow approximately 30 to 60 minutes to visit the site and observe the surroundings.

When to Visit

The area can become very crowded during prayer times and during the peak seasons of Hajj and Ramadan. To avoid the largest crowds, plan your visit outside of these specific windows. Due to the local climate, early morning or late afternoon is generally preferred to avoid midday heat.
