About Cooks' Cottage

Cooks' Cottage is a historic residence originally built in 1755 in England as the home of Captain James Cook's parents. The structure was later became a gift to the city of Melbourne and was relocated to its current site in the Fitzroy Gardens. Visitors go here to view the preserved interior of the cottage and learn about the early life of the explorer.
