Gothic Protestant Church of Avas
This church is the oldest surviving building in downtown Miskolc. Originally constructed in the 13th century in the Romanesque style, it was later expanded with Gothic architectural elements. It serves as a historical record of the city, having survived a fire during the Ottoman occupation in the 16th century. Visitors go here to see the transition between architectural styles and to learn about the religious history of the region.
