Overview
Pérez Castellanos, also known as Castro–Pérez Castellanos, is a residential district located within Municipality D in Montevideo. Rather than a major tourist destination, it offers a look at everyday residential life and local retail streets away from the coastal promenade.
Getting There
From central Montevideo, the area can be reached by urban bus or taxi. The bus trip takes around 25 to 40 minutes, while a taxi or rideshare ride takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes under normal traffic conditions.

Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours for a visit. This allows enough time to stroll through the streets and visit local shops.
When to Visit
Visit during daytime hours on weekdays or Saturday mornings when neighborhood shops are open and street activity is visible. Evenings and Sundays are generally quiet. The district does not experience tourist crowds.
