Montreal Clock Tower

Located in the Old Port, this white-walled tower was constructed as a tribute to sailors. Visitors go here to climb 192 steps to an observation deck that provides a view of the harbor and the surrounding waterfront area.

Getting There and Back

The tower is situated within the Old Port district. From the city centre, it is accessible via a short taxi ride or a walk of approximately 15 to 20 minutes, depending on your starting point.

Allow roughly 45 to 60 minutes to visit. This includes the time needed to climb the stairs to the top and descend back to the ground.

When to Visit

The site is open throughout the year, though the outdoor observation deck is most accessible during the warmer months. It can get crowded during summer weekends and peak tourist seasons. Visiting during weekday mornings typically avoids the largest crowds.
