This megalithic temple complex consists of prehistoric stone structures built around 3600 BC. Visitors go here to see one of the oldest known religious sites in the world and a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, characterized by its massive limestone slabs and ancient architectural layout.

Getting There

The site is located in the southern part of the island. From the center of Mosta, you can reach the complex via taxi or local bus. The journey typically takes around 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

Duration of Visit

Allow approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to walk through the temple ruins and view the surrounding landscape.

When to Visit

Visiting during the early morning or late afternoon is recommended to avoid the midday heat, as the site is largely exposed to the sun. The shoulder seasons of spring and autumn offer more moderate temperatures. The site can get crowded during peak tourist seasons.
