Yiftahel Archaeological Site

Located in the lowlands of Galilee, Yiftahel is an archaeological site featuring remains from the Neolithic and Early Bronze Age. Visitors go here to see the physical evidence of early human settlement in northern Israel, including uncovered structures and artifacts from these prehistoric periods.

Getting There

The site is located outside the center of Nazareth. Access is primarily via rental car or taxi. The drive from the city center typically takes about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

When to Visit

The site is an open-air archaeological area, so it is best visited during the cooler months of autumn and winter to avoid the intense summer heat. Morning visits are recommended to avoid the midday sun. It does not typically experience the heavy crowds found in central Nazareth.
