İttik Dede's Turbeh
İttik Dede's Türbe
İttik Dede's Türbe is an Ottoman-era mausoleum located in the Selimiye quarter of North Nicosia. Visitors go here to see a preserved example of Ottoman funerary architecture within the city's old town district.
Getting There
The site is located south of Selimiye Square. From the center of North Nicosia, it is accessible via a short walk through the historic streets. Depending on your starting point in the city center, the walk typically takes between 5 and 15 minutes.
Visit Duration
Because the site is a small mausoleum, most visitors spend approximately 15 to 30 minutes observing the structure and its immediate surroundings.
When to Visit
The site is best visited during daylight hours to clearly see the architectural details. Like much of the old town, it is generally quieter in the early morning. There are no specific seasonal closures, though the midday heat in Cyprus can be intense during summer months.
