Leventis Gallery
Overview
The Leventis Gallery is an art museum in central Nicosia that opened in 2014, housed in a building designed through an international architectural competition. The permanent collection features around 800 paintings by Cypriot, Greek, and other European artists spanning several historical periods.
Getting There
Located near the heart of Nicosia, the gallery is easily reached on foot from the city centre. Walking from central areas around Eleftheria Square takes only one to two minutes. Travellers arriving via Larnaca International Airport (LCA) can take direct shuttle buses to central Nicosia.
Time to Allow
Plan to spend 1.5 to 2 hours to view the primary exhibition halls. Visitors with a detailed interest in the art collections may wish to allocate up to 3 hours.
When to Visit
Weekday mornings and early afternoons provide the quietest viewing conditions. The indoor exhibition spaces offer shelter from hot midday temperatures during summer. Large crowds are uncommon, allowing for an unhurried visit throughout the year.
