This nature reserve is a former limestone quarry located near the village of Krčmaň. Visitors go here to walk through steppe grassland paths and observe rare plants and insects. In the spring, the meadows are characterized by clusters of purple pasque flowers.
Getting There
The reserve is located outside the center of Olomouc. Access is typically via car or local transport toward the village of Krčmaň. The travel time from the city center is approximately 15 to 20 minutes depending on the mode of transport.
Duration of Visit
Allow roughly 1 to 2 hours to walk the paths and observe the local flora and fauna at a slow pace.
When to Visit
Spring is the most notable season to visit due to the blooming of the pasque flowers. To avoid the midday sun and for better wildlife observation, morning or late afternoon visits are recommended. The site does not typically experience heavy crowds.
