Overview

The Osijek Co-cathedral is a neo-Gothic church completed in 1898. Its 94-meter spire serves as the primary landmark of the city skyline. Travellers visit to see the exterior brick masonry, ribbed ceiling vaulting, and stained glass windows.

Getting There

The site is situated directly on the main square in the city centre. Reaching it on foot from central points takes one to two minutes. Travellers arriving via Osijek Airport (OSI) can reach the central district by road in approximately twenty minutes.

Visiting Time

Plan to spend between 30 and 45 minutes on site. This provides adequate time to inspect the facade details and walk through the interior nave.

When to Go

Daylight hours are best to observe the exterior masonry and allow natural light through the windows. The building rarely experiences heavy crowds, though you should avoid entering during active worship services if you plan to walk around the interior. Spring and autumn provide mild temperatures for touring on foot.
