Citerárium
Located on the third floor of a historic building on Masaryk Square, this museum is dedicated to the zither. The collection consists of approximately 100 instruments and a variety of related sheet music, documenting the history and usage of an instrument that was once popular in the region.
Getting There
The museum is situated directly in the center of Ostrava. Since it is located on Masaryk Square, it is accessible by foot from most central hotels and transit hubs within a few minutes.
Visit Duration
Given the specialized nature and size of the collection, visitors typically need about 45 to 90 minutes to view the instruments and documents on display.
When to Visit
The museum is an indoor attraction, making it a viable option regardless of the season. Because of its niche focus, it generally does not experience the same level of crowding as larger city museums.
