Overview
Rideau Falls is a pair of waterfalls located where the Rideau River empties into the Ottawa River. Divided by Green Island, the cascades drop into the lower river basin, offering visitors a direct view of the waterway junction and surrounding shoreline.
Getting There
The site lies along Sussex Drive, northeast of downtown Ottawa. From the city centre near Parliament Hill, walking takes about 25 to 30 minutes, while cycling or taking a local bus takes 10 to 15 minutes.
