Franzén Park
Franzén Park
Franzén Park is a small public garden located in the center of Oulu. Visitors go here for a short walk through flowerbeds and to see the statue of a poet. A local tradition involves students placing a cap on the statue's head annually.
Getting There
The park is situated within the city center. It is accessible by foot from most central locations, typically requiring only a few minutes of walking.
Duration of Visit
Because of its small size, visitors generally spend 15 to 30 minutes exploring the garden and viewing the monument.
When to Visit
The garden is most active during the spring and summer months when the flowerbeds are in bloom. It does not typically experience heavy crowding, though it may be busier during local student graduation events when the cap tradition takes place.
