Kapušany castle Hill
Kapušany Castle Hill
Located on a rocky ridge atop Zámčisko Hill above the village of Kapušany, this site contains the ruins of an old hilltop fortress. Visitors go here to walk among the remaining stone structures and explore the layout of the former fortification.
Getting There
The site is located near Prešov. From the city centre, you can reach the area by car or local transport heading toward the village of Kapušany. The travel time is approximately 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic.
Duration of Visit
Allow roughly 1 to 2 hours to hike up the hill, walk through the castle remains, and return to the starting point.
When to Visit
The site is best visited during the spring, summer, and autumn when the hiking paths are clear. Daylight hours are recommended for safety on the rocky terrain. This is not a major tourist hub, so it generally does not get crowded.
