Dating back to 1455, this open-air prayer site in northern Prizren represents an early example of Islamic religious heritage in Kosovo. Travellers visit to see a preserved outdoor prayer terrace, characterized by simple stone foundations rather than an enclosed building.

The site is situated in the northern quarter of the city. From the central town centre, the walk takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes heading north along local streets.

Plan to spend 15 to 30 minutes on site. The area is compact and open, providing adequate time to walk around the perimeter and view the stonework.

When to Go

Visit during daylight hours for clear visibility of the site. The area rarely gets crowded and can be visited throughout the year, though spring, summer, and autumn offer the most comfortable conditions for walking uphill.
