Kop van Zuid is a waterfront district south of the Nieuwe Maas river, facing central Rotterdam. Visitors walk along Wilhelminapier to observe the skyline across the water and view contemporary architecture. The area combines repurposed shipping warehouses, modern high-rises, and riverside paths.
Getting There
From central Rotterdam, walk across the Erasmus Bridge in roughly 15 to 20 minutes. Alternatively, metro lines D and E connect Rotterdam Centraal to Wilhelminaplein station in under 10 minutes, and local trams run directly across the river.

When to Visit
Late afternoon and early evening offer clear views of the illuminated river and skyline. Because the pier is exposed to open water, expect windy and cool conditions in autumn and winter. The area gets busier on sunny weekends, but the wide promenades rarely feel crowded.
