This 1864 mansion functions as a museum dedicated to the urban life and history of Ruse. Visitors go here to see the architecture of the period and exhibits that illustrate how the city's residents lived during the 19th century. Local legend associates the building's origin with a gift from a governor to a woman named Kaliopa.
