This is the largest square in Sofia, named after the first prince of modern Bulgaria. Visitors come here to view the surrounding historic architecture and the central monument. It serves as a pedestrian hub that connects several of the city's most significant cultural and governmental buildings.
Getting There
The square is located within the city centre. It is accessible on a short walk from the main pedestrian zones and central transit points. Depending on your starting point in the downtown area, it typically takes 5 to 10 minutes to reach on foot.
