Besleti Bridge
What It Is
Besleti Bridge, also known as Queen Tamar's Bridge, is a medieval stone arch bridge on the outskirts of Sokhumi. Built across the Basla River, the structure is a preserved piece of regional engineering. Travellers visit to see its historical masonry, examine the weathered stone inscriptions, and take a quiet walk through the wooded river valley.
Getting There
The site is located about 6 kilometres northeast of central Sokhumi. You can reach it by car, taxi, or local minibus in approximately 15 to 20 minutes from the city centre. Walking from central areas takes roughly one hour along the road following the river.

Plan to spend 30 to 45 minutes on site. This provides enough time to walk across the bridge, view the arch from both riverbanks, and take photos.
