Castrum Partiscum

Castrum Partiscum consists of the ruins of an ancient Roman fortress located on the banks of the Tisza River. Historically, this site is believed to have served as the westernmost point of the province of Dacia. Visitors go here to see the archaeological traces of the Roman military presence in the region and to explore the remnants of the old Szeged castle site.

Getting There

The ruins are located within the urban area of Szeged. From the city centre, the site is accessible via a short walk of a few minutes, as it is situated in close proximity to the main squares and cultural hubs.
