Mohammed V Mosque
Mohammed V Mosque
Completed in 1983, this is one of the primary mosques in Tangier. Travelers visit the site to observe its architecture and experience a significant religious landmark within the city.
Getting There
The mosque is located within the city area. From the city centre, it is accessible via a short taxi ride or a walk, typically taking about 10 to 15 minutes depending on your starting point.
Duration of Visit
Allow approximately 45 to 90 minutes to view the exterior and the surrounding grounds. Visitors should be aware that access to the interior of mosques in Morocco is often restricted to Muslims.
When to Visit
Visiting during the early morning or late afternoon helps avoid the midday heat. The site can become crowded during prayer times and on Fridays, which is the primary day of congregational prayer in Morocco.

- Tangier Cathedral: 0.2km
- Museum of Contemporary Art, Tangier: 0.4km
- Church of Saint Andrew: 0.5km
