Tell Qasile
What It Is
Tell Qasile is an archaeological site located in northern Tel Aviv, near the Yarkon River. Founded by the Philistines in the 12th century BCE as an inland port city, the mound contains structural remains spanning more than 3,000 years of regional history. Travellers interested in antiquity can view excavated foundations, residential quarters, and ancient street layouts up close.
Getting There
Located in the Ramat Aviv area, the site is reachable from central Tel Aviv by local bus, bicycle, or taxi in about 15 to 30 minutes depending on traffic. You can also take the train to Tel Aviv University station and walk or take a short local bus ride.
