About the Monastery
Lešok Monastery is an Orthodox complex located at an elevation of 638 meters on the southeastern slopes of the Šar Mountains near the Kosovo border. The site features the Church of St. Athanasius and the Church of the Holy Mother of God. Travelers visit to examine traditional ecclesiastical architecture, religious frescoes, and the quiet mountain setting.
Getting There
The complex is situated northeast of central Tetovo. Reaching it by car or taxi from the city centre takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Travelers arriving by air often use Pristina International Airport (PRN) across the border.

Allow 1 to 2 hours to walk through the grounds, view the church interiors, and explore the courtyard area.
When to Visit
Spring through autumn provides favorable conditions for walking the mountainside. Mornings offer good daylight for viewing church interiors. The grounds see higher visitor numbers on weekends and religious holidays, while weekdays are typically quiet.
