What It Is

Founded in 1966, the Municipal Art Gallery of Thessaloniki is housed in Villa Bianca, an early 20th-century mansion in the eastern district. Visitors come to view rotating and permanent exhibitions of Greek art, prints, and paintings, as well as the preserved architecture of the historic residence.

Getting There

From central Thessaloniki, the gallery lies roughly 4 kilometres southeast. City buses running along Vasilissis Olgas Avenue take about 15 to 25 minutes depending on traffic, while a taxi takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes.

Time to Spend

Allow 45 to 90 minutes to browse the exhibition rooms and view the building's architectural features.

When to Visit

Weekday mornings offer the quietest experience. The venue rarely sees heavy crowds, making it an easy, calm stop at any time of year.
