About the Site
This archaeological area on Uppsala's northern outskirts features prominent earth burial mounds from the Viking Age. Travelers visit to walk through the open fields and explore a major political and religious center of early Swedish history.
Getting There
Located roughly 5 km north of central Uppsala, the area is reachable in 15 to 20 minutes by local bus from Uppsala Central Station. Cycling takes about 20 minutes along dedicated paths, and driving takes roughly 10 minutes.
