Garsellakopf is a 2,105-meter peak located in the Rätikon range on the border between Liechtenstein and Austria. Travelers visit this location for hiking and walking trails that provide views of the Alpine landscape. It is situated east of the village of Schaan.
Getting There
Access to the peak is via hiking trails starting from the surrounding valley or the village of Schaan. From Vaduz city centre, you must first travel to the Schaan area by bus or car, then proceed on foot. Depending on your fitness level and the chosen trail, the ascent can take several hours.
Time Allocation
Allow a full day for a visit. This includes the time required for the climb to the summit and the descent back to the valley floor.
When to Visit
The peak is accessible during the warmer months, typically from late spring to autumn, when the trails are clear of heavy snow. It is advisable to start the ascent early in the morning to ensure a safe return before dark.
