Sun Tower

The Sun Tower is a 17-story Beaux-Arts building located in downtown Vancouver. Visitors go to see its architectural details, specifically the copper dome and the nine sculptures of muses that support the cornice. Following a restoration process, the exterior has been returned to its original design.

Getting There

The building is situated in the city centre. If you are staying in the downtown core, it is accessible via a short walk or a brief trip on local transit. Most central locations are within a 10 to 15-minute walk.

Time Allotment

Since the primary appeal is the exterior architecture and the landmark's presence in the skyline, allow 30 to 60 minutes to observe the building and the surrounding streetscape.

When to Visit

Daylight hours are best for viewing the copper dome and the detailed sculptures. The site is located in a busy commercial district, so expect significant pedestrian traffic during business hours and weekends.
