Anonyme Island
Anonyme Island
Anonyme Island is a small granite island located 700 meters off the east coast of Mahé in the Seychelles. Visitors typically go there for short boat excursions to explore its compact terrain and coastal environment. Its proximity to the mainland makes it a frequent stop for those seeking a quick island experience without a long voyage.
Getting There
The island is accessible by boat from the coast of Mahé. From Victoria, the city centre, you must first travel to the eastern coast near the Seychelles International Airport. The boat trip from the shore to the island is short, taking only a few minutes due to the minimal distance between the island and the mainland.
Duration of Visit
Because of its small size, the island can be explored quickly. Most visitors allow between one to three hours to walk around the perimeter and observe the landscape before returning to the main island.
When to Visit
The island is best visited during daylight hours for visibility and safety. As a small site, it can feel crowded if multiple tour groups arrive simultaneously. To avoid peak activity, consider visiting during the early morning.
Combining with Other Sites
Due to its location, this island can be combined with other nearby coastal destinations via boat:
- Cachée Island: 3.4km
- Cerf Island: 4.4km
- Long Island: 4.6km
- Mahé: 5km
