Karlskirche
Overview
Karlskirche is an 18th-century church located south of Karlsplatz in Vienna. Built in the Baroque style and dedicated to a 16th-century Counter-Reformation saint, the site features a large dome and twin relief columns. Travellers visit to examine its architecture and view the interior frescoes.
Getting There
From Stephansplatz in the city centre, the church is roughly a 15-minute walk south along Kärntner Straße. Alternatively, take U-Bahn line U1 to Karlsplatz station, followed by a short walk through the square.
