About the Island

Zvërnec Island is a pine-covered landmass in the Narta Lagoon, northwest of Vlorë in southern Albania. Connected to the mainland by a long wooden footbridge, it offers flat walking paths through pine woods and open views across the shallow coastal waters.

Getting There

From central Vlorë, reaching the parking area near the footbridge takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes by car or taxi. The route runs northwest through rural scenery before reaching the water's edge.

Time to Spend

Allow 1 to 2 hours. This provides sufficient time to walk across the footbridge, follow the footpaths across the island, and observe the surrounding lagoon environment.

When to Visit

Early morning and late afternoon are the best times of day to avoid peak sun exposure. Summer weekends bring larger crowds of regional visitors, so weekdays or shoulder seasons (spring and autumn) offer a quieter experience and cooler walking temperatures.
