What It Is

This site marks the historic holding area used during the Holocaust to hold Jews prior to deportation to concentration camps. As the largest collection point beside the Warsaw Ghetto, it now features an open-air stone monument inscribed with thousands of names, offering a quiet space to reflect on this history.

Getting There

Located on Stawki Street, the site is reachable from Warsaw city centre in approximately 15 to 20 minutes via public trams or buses heading north toward Muranów.

Plan to spend 15 to 30 minutes here. Because it is an outdoor monument rather than an enclosed exhibition, this gives adequate time to view the structure and read the inscriptions.

When to Visit

Visit during daylight hours to clearly see the engraved names on the stone walls. It rarely gets crowded, though tour groups occasionally visit during midday hours.
