The Blue Mosque
The Blue Mosque is an 18th-century Shia mosque located in Yerevan. It is currently the only mosque in active use within Armenia. Visitors go here to see its Persian-style architecture and to learn about the religious diversity and history of the city, including its transition through the Soviet era and subsequent restoration.
Getting There
The mosque is located within the central part of Yerevan. From the city center, it is accessible via a short taxi ride or a walk, typically taking about 10 to 15 minutes depending on your starting point.

Allow approximately 45 to 60 minutes to walk through the courtyard and view the interior of the prayer hall.
When to Visit
Visiting during the morning or late afternoon is recommended to avoid the midday heat during summer months. As it is an active place of worship, visitors should be mindful of prayer times. It does not typically experience the same level of crowding as the city's primary squares, but it is quieter on weekdays.
