Overview

Saint Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral is the largest cathedral of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Positioned on an elevated area in Yerevan, the vast stone complex is visible from many parts of the city. Travellers visit to examine contemporary Armenian ecclesiastical architecture, view its high-vaulted central dome, and walk through the expansive open terrace.

Getting There

The cathedral is located close to the city center and a nearby metro station. Walking from Republic Square takes approximately 10 to 12 minutes. Short taxi rides or a single metro stop from neighboring central hubs provide quick access.
