Established in 1940, this is the only zoo in Armenia. It occupies 35 hectares on a hillside in the southeastern part of the city. Visitors go here to see a variety of animal species in an outdoor setting, making it a practical destination for families traveling with children.

The zoo is located outside the immediate city center. The most efficient way to reach it is via taxi or ride-sharing apps, which typically take 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. Local buses also serve the area, though travel times may be longer.
