St. Mary's Church
Overview
St. Mary's Church is a Benedictine monastery complex founded in 1066, situated directly east of the Roman forum in Zadar. Visitors come to see its preserved architectural elements spanning multiple centuries, along with the permanent exhibition of religious art and medieval relics maintained by the Benedictine community.
Getting There
The site is located inside the pedestrian-only historic centre of Zadar. From People's Square in the middle of the old town, it is an easy 3- to 5-minute walk west toward the forum. Because the entire peninsula is walkable, no public transit is required once you are in the centre.

Plan to spend around 30 to 45 minutes to walk through the church interior and view the adjacent treasury exhibits.
When to Visit
