Transport Modes in Zadar

Zadar is a compact city where the mode of transport depends entirely on your location relative to the Old Town.

• Walking: This is the primary way to explore. The Old Town is a pedestrian zone, and the Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun are easily reachable on foot from the center.
• Public Bus (Liburnija): Best for reaching the outskirts, residential areas, or the airport. It is the only viable option for those staying outside the immediate city core.
• Taxis and Rideshares: Useful for late-night travel or transporting heavy luggage to accommodations outside the pedestrian zones.

Airport to City Center

Zadar Airport (ZAD) is located several kilometers from the city center. Travelers have three main options:

• Airport Shuttle Bus: The most balanced option for time and cost. It runs according to flight schedules and drops passengers at the main bus station.
• Taxi/Private Transfer: The fastest and lowest-effort option, providing door-to-door service. This is the highest cost band.
