Museo Teatrale alla Scala

The museum sits in the heart of central Milan, next to Piazza della Scala, an easy walk from the Duomo (around 5-10 minutes on foot). The nearest metro stop is Duomo (lines M1 and M3), from which it's a short walk up Via Ugo Foscolo.
Time to allow
Most visitors spend around 45 minutes to an hour going through the collection, a little longer if the auditorium viewpoint is included.
When to go
Mornings tend to be quieter than afternoons, when tour groups pass through on their way to or from the Duomo and Galleria. Note that the auditorium view isn't always available, since it depends on rehearsals or performances taking place.
