Sapporo Clock Tower
삿포로 시 시계탑(일본어: 札幌市時計台 삿포로시토케다이[*])은 홋카이도 삿포로시 주오구에 위치한 시계탑이다. 일본의 중요문화재로 등록되어 있다. 정식 명칭은 구 삿포로 농학교 연무장(일본어: 旧札幌農学校演武場 교삿포로노갓코엔부조[*])이며, 통칭은 삿포로 시계탑(일본어: 札幌時計台 삿포로토케다이[*])이다.
Sapporo Clock Tower
This is a wooden clock tower and small museum built in the 1870s as a drill hall for the Sapporo Agricultural College, now preserved as one of the city's oldest Western-style buildings. Inside, exhibits cover the building's history and Hokkaido's early development under American and European advisers. It's a short, low-key stop rather than a destination in itself — most visitors come to see the exterior and spend a few minutes inside.
Getting there
It sits right in central Sapporo, within easy walking distance of the main downtown area and Odori Park. From most points in the city centre it's a walk of 10–15 minutes, or a couple of stops if you're already using the subway or streetcar network.
Time to allow
Twenty to thirty minutes covers it for most people — enough to view the building, take photos, and walk through the small exhibition inside.
When to go
The exterior is often busiest around midday and early afternoon, when tour groups and visitors pause here for photos, so early morning tends to be quieter. Because the building itself is compact, even light crowds outside can make the immediate area feel busy.

- Nihon Kirisuto Kyodan Sapporo Church (0.3km) — close enough to add on with minimal detour.
- JR Tower (0.6km) — a short walk away, useful if you're heading toward Sapporo Station.
- Guardian Angels Cathedral, Sapporo (0.9km) — within comfortable walking range.
- Sapporo Beer Museum (1.6km) — further out, better suited to a separate leg of the day or a short taxi/transit ride.
