Farglory Financial Center
The Farglory Financial Center is a 208-metre, 32-storey office skyscraper in Taipei's Xinyi District, one of the taller buildings on the city's skyline outside Taipei 101. It's not set up as a tourist attraction with an observation deck — most visitors see it as a striking piece of architecture while walking through Xinyi, rather than a place to go inside. It's worth pointing your camera at if you're already in the area, particularly at night when the tower and surrounding Xinyi towers are lit up.
Getting there
From central Taipei, the easiest approach is the MRT to Taipei City Hall or Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall station on the Blue Line, followed by a short walk of around 10-15 minutes into the Xinyi District. Taxis from most central areas take roughly 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.
How long to spend
As an exterior landmark, 10-15 minutes is enough to view and photograph the building before moving on.
When to go
Xinyi District is busiest in the late afternoon and evening, especially around weekends, so early daytime visits are quieter if you just want photos without crowds. Evening is better for the lit-up skyline if that's the draw.
Nearby
- Cathay Landmark (0.3km) and The Sky Taipei (0.4km) are both close enough to combine with a short walk around the district's cluster of towers.
- Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall (0.4km) offers a change of pace with its park grounds and museum if you want a break from the skyscraper scenery.
- Taipei Nan Shan Plaza (0.7km) is a reasonable stop for shopping or a meal while in the area.
