艋舺清水巌
Bangka Qingshan Temple
艋舺清水巌（もうこうせいすいがん）は、台湾台北市万華区に位置する寺院。艋舺祖師廟とも。艋舺龍山寺・大龍峒保安宮と並ぶ「台北の三大廟門」といわれる。また、淡水祖師廟、三峡祖師廟とともに「台北三大祖師廟」とも呼ばれる。
What it is
Qingshan Temple (also written Bangka Qingshan Temple) is a neighborhood temple in Wanhua District dedicated to Qingshan Wang, a deity brought over by settlers from Fujian's Huian County in the 19th century, along with worship of Master Qingshui traditions common to the area. Travellers come for the carved woodwork, stone pillars, and roof ornamentation typical of old Taipei temple architecture, and for a working place of worship still central to the neighborhood rather than a restored showpiece. It's a modest stop rather than a headline sight, best seen as part of a walk through Wanhua's older streets.
Getting there
From central Taipei, take the MRT Bannan Line to Longshan Temple Station and walk about 5-10 minutes through the surrounding market streets. If arriving from Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), take the Airport MRT into the city and transfer to the Bannan Line toward Longshan Temple; the full trip runs a little over an hour depending on connections.
Time to allow
Most visitors spend 20-30 minutes here, enough to look at the architectural details and courtyard without rushing.
When to go
Weekday mornings tend to be quieter. The temple and surrounding lanes get busier on traditional festival dates tied to the resident deities, when processions and incense crowds fill the area — worth seeking out if you want atmosphere, worth avoiding if you prefer a calm visit.

- Bangka Lungshan Temple (0.4km) — a larger, more elaborate temple just a few minutes' walk away, and the natural pairing for a Wanhua temple visit.
- Taipei Botanical Garden (1.2km) and 228 Peace Memorial Park (1.3km) — green spaces within walking distance for a break after temple-hopping.
- National Taiwan Museum (1.3km) — a short walk further, useful if combining with the park.
