Capital Gate
What It Is
Capital Gate is a 35-story skyscraper located adjacent to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The building is known for its distinct design, featuring a facade that leans approximately 18 degrees to the west while interior floors remain level. Visitors interested in modern engineering and architecture stop here to observe the incline and exterior structure.
Getting There
From central Abu Dhabi, reaching the area by taxi or car takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. Public buses serving the exhibition district also stop nearby.
Time to Allow
Plan for 20 to 30 minutes if you are stopping primarily to view and photograph the exterior facade from street level.
When to Go
Late afternoon offers good lighting to see the western slant clearly. Cooler months from November to March are best for outdoor viewing. Traffic and local crowds increase significantly when major events take place at the neighboring exhibition centre.
