About the Site

The Sidi Bashir Mosque consists of the surviving central gateway and two minarets of a historic Sufi complex. Known as the "shaking minarets," the structure is notable for its unique architecture, where movement in one minaret resonates in the other. Travellers visit to view these remaining stone towers and examine the historical engineering.

Getting There

The site is located near the railway station area in Ahmedabad. From the city centre, it takes roughly 15 to 25 minutes to arrive by auto-rickshaw or taxi, depending on traffic conditions.

Time to Spend

Allow about 20 to 30 minutes. Because only the entrance gate and minarets remain today, viewing the exterior structure does not require an extended stop.

When to Visit

The winter months from October to March provide the most comfortable temperatures for outdoor sightseeing. Visiting in the morning or late afternoon helps avoid midday heat. The monument is generally not heavily crowded, though surrounding streets experience regular urban traffic.
