What It Is

Església de Sant Serni de Nagol is an 11th-century church in Sant Julià de Lòria, south of Andorra la Vella. Remodeled during the 17th and 18th centuries, the simple stone structure preserves some of Andorra's earliest Romanesque artwork, making it a key stop for medieval art history.

Getting There

From central Andorra la Vella, drive south on the CG-1 road to Sant Julià de Lòria, then take the CS-130 uphill toward Nagol. The trip takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes by car. Regular buses connect the capital to Sant Julià de Lòria, followed by a steep walk or taxi ride.

Time to Allow

Allow 30 to 45 minutes on site. The church building and its grounds are small, requiring only a brief visit to view the art and architecture.

When to Go

Visit during daylight hours for clear driving conditions on the narrow mountain road. Spring through autumn provides easy road access, while winter may involve ice or snow. The site is rarely crowded.
