This lighthouse is situated on a hill overlooking the Gulf of Aqaba. Visitors go here for the elevated view of the coastline and the surrounding beach area, which is used for camping and snorkeling. The waters nearby are also utilized for scuba diving to view underwater scenery.

The site is accessible from the city center via local taxi or rental car. The travel time varies depending on traffic but typically takes a short drive of 10 to 15 minutes.

Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to visit the lighthouse and walk along the adjacent beach. Those participating in snorkeling or diving in the area should allocate a half-day.

Late afternoon is a practical time to visit to avoid peak midday heat and to see the coastline during the transition to evening. The area can get crowded during holiday weekends and peak tourist seasons when camping is more frequent.
