Old Royal Palace

Completed in 1843, this building served as the former royal palace of Greece. It currently functions as the Hellenic Parliament building. Visitors go here to observe the architecture of Greece's modern history and to watch the changing of the guard ceremony performed by the Evzones in front of the entrance.

The palace is located in the heart of Athens. From the city centre, it is accessible via a short walk or a quick trip on the Metro to the Syntagma station. Depending on your starting point within the central district, the journey typically takes between 5 and 15 minutes.
