Takarunga, also known as Mount Victoria, is a 66-meter volcanic cone located on Auckland's North Shore. Visitors go here to view the city skyline and harbor from an elevated vantage point. The site holds historical significance as a former Māori fortified village and later as a 19th-century defensive position; remnants of gun batteries are still visible on the grounds.
