Overview
Gran Teatre del Liceu is an opera house situated along La Rambla. As the city's oldest theater still used for its original purpose, it functions as an active venue for opera, dance, and classical music performances. Travellers visit either to attend a staged production or to view the historic 19th-century architecture of the auditorium and reception halls.
Getting There
From Plaça de Catalunya in the city centre, the venue is a direct 10-minute walk south down La Rambla. Alternatively, take metro line L3 to the Liceu stop, which exits right outside the entrance.
